JOINHANDS 2.15MW Energy Storage + 1.2MW Solar Project

Project Information:

  • Location: Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), Rayong Province, Thailand

  • Project Type: Integrated solar PV + battery energy storage system

  • System Capacity: 1.2MW solar PV + 2.15MW energy storage

  • Service Scope: Integrated solar-storage solution, system design, installation, commissioning, energy management strategy

  • Commercial Model: Industrial energy management solution

  • Estimated Energy Cost Reduction: More than 25% comprehensive electricity cost reduction

  • Key Function: Peak-valley arbitrage, demand management, backup power, self-consumption, energy autonomy

  • Status: Real case from Red Solar Thailand company profile

Project Overview:

Red Solar Thailand delivered an integrated solar PV and energy storage solution for JOINHANDS Group in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor. With high-standard construction and strong operating performance, the project has become a representative industrial energy upgrade case in the region.

The Challenge:

The customer required more than conventional rooftop solar savings. The project needed to reduce overall electricity cost, improve power reliability, protect key production lines from grid interruption risk, and build a more flexible energy management model.

Red Solar Solution:

Red Solar designed a combined 1.2MW solar PV and 2.15MW energy storage system. The solution uses solar generation for self-consumption, energy storage for peak shaving and tariff optimization, and fast-response backup capability to support continuous production.

Project Highlights:

  • 1.2MW solar PV combined with 2.15MW energy storage

  • More than 25% comprehensive electricity cost reduction

  • Peak-valley electricity price optimization

  • Demand management for industrial loads

  • Millisecond-level backup response from the storage system

  • Integrated model: self-consumption, storage peak shaving, and excess electricity management

Project Result:

The project helps JOINHANDS Group optimize energy cost, improve power reliability, and reduce dependence on the public grid. It also provides a strong reference for industrial customers in the EEC that need both solar savings and energy resilience.
